Neofascists Lie.

It is not exactly a shock that fascists throughout history have lied, and that their modern heirs, the BNP, do the same, but it seems that those over at YouGov, who study politics for a living hadn’t realized that neofascists lie and cheat, as Lancaster Unity relates:

“We’ve all known for ages that the BNP’s legions of keyboard warriors are encouraged to vote in online polls where the result, if tilted, is advantageous to the party, but the BNP now appears to have taken this con trick one step further and is supporting a call on its own website to defraud money from YouGov and pay it into the party’s coffers.

British Patriot, an administrator on the BNP’s own social network, has called on members to join YouGov so that they can be on the list of people to be called when there is a poll to be carried out. As members, these people are given 50p per survey which is paid to them when the amount owed reaches £50. British Patriot suggests;

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you do not believe this heinous behaviour is limited to the BNP!

Self evidently not, but they embody a level of deceitfulness that even normal politicians find it hard to match, in short they have NO redeeming features, none.

  3. David Duff Says:

Really? “NO redeeming features”. Well, what’s to be done? 10 Years in a, er, re-education camp is unlikely to work on people with “NO redeeming features”, so I suppose it’s up against a wall with the lot of them, eh?

If you would like to argue that fascists (Hitler, Mussolini, etc) had *some* redeeming features, then please do, but you won’t find me terribly receptive.

No, I don’t believe in shooting *anyone* for their beliefs.

  5. David Duff Says:

Hitler was a courageous and patriotic soldier – there, that’s one redeeming feature.

Now let us take a hard look at more recent history. According to many, um, well-read experts, Mr. Blair lied and lied and lied again in order to commit this country to at least two major wars which resulted in a death toll amounting to millions – and counting. That is a version of that slippering bar of soap we call ‘truth’.

The point I am trying to make is that lying and cheating are not good grounds for attacking fascists. My advice (unsought, I know) would be to stick to their policies. If all you can come up with is abuse to the effect that they are a bunch of lying thugs with murderous tendencies, well, we might have to take a hard look at some other fringe groups, say, the SWP, for starters, and some of their Muslim allies for seconds.

David, do me a favour, stick to history, he wasn’t a fascist when he was in the trenches or messenger.

“The point I am trying to make is that lying and cheating are not good grounds for attacking fascists. “

and *MY* point is the historical record of fascists is so awful, so terrible that it should be used against them.

  7. David Duff Says:

Fair enough, if, and only if, you apply the same standard to communist organisations whose record for mass murder leaves Hitler looking like a dilettante – and this, you will be pleased to know is my last word on the subject – promise!

Look, I am talking about fascists, that’s it.

You won’t find me EVER saying a nice thing about Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot, etc and it is rather annoying that you would assume so.

But next time you see a Stalinist or similar firing bombing a Mosque, bombing a pub, please let me know.

Those things have been done and much more by neofascists recently, or do I need to list them for your benefit, please use google and type copeland pub.

PS: and please try not to make assumptions about my views, it is a bit annoying :)
