“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” Abraham Lincoln

That certain member of the cloth has been asked to leave Argentina, the Beeb reports:

“Argentina has ordered an ultra-traditionalist British bishop who denies the Holocaust to leave the country or face expulsion.

The interior ministry said Richard Williamson had been given 10 days to leave Argentina.

Earlier this month the bishop was removed from his post as the head of a Roman Catholic seminary in Argentina.
…”

Williamson’s own views:

“I believe that the historical evidence is strongly against, is hugely against, six million Jews having been deliberately gassed in gas chambers as a deliberate policy of Adolf Hitler,”

Whilst on the topic of fascism and dealing with Holocaust denial, AVPS directs us towards the Conference: Stopping the Far-Right in North Staffordshire. Go for it!

Oh, and Williamson tried to use legal action to stop his views being more widely known.

Update: Z blog has the story as well.
