The Torygraph reports:

“Mohammad-Amin Valian, a 20-year-old Islamic studies student, was arrested on the basis of a photograph taken at a mass demonstration against the rigged presidential election last year. He was among six people convicted of the Islamic crime of moharebeh, or waging war against God.”

  4. How can that even be a crime? Surely if God is the all-seeing, all-powerful supreme deity they think he is, waging war on Him is a futile exercise, as the smiting is a foregone conclusion??!

    Perhaps all those who profess to love a God should start by wrapping their heads around the ‘Thou shalt not kill’ bit and then, when they’ve fully grasped that, move on to the more difficult stuff.
