  2. 😉 … but isn’t the stuff also class based: when a toff/middle class persons says “its fine”, he/she means “fuck” and when someone from the working class says “fuck”, she/he means “fuck”?

  3. Agreed Ent, this type of lingo probably went hand in hand with the development and consolidation of the Empire, a private language but in the open.

    If you know the code then you know, but if you don’t, well…all very English….
