Comments Policy

with 36 comments

The comments policy on this blog is fairly simple, if you are a racist, a racialist, one of their mates, or someone who writes like them, then you are not welcome here.

This blog implements a No Platform for Fascists policy.

    • So if you are hung up about the existence of Jews, Muslims, the Roma, immigrants, “foreigners”, the French, the Irish, etc and feel the need to express your petty hatreds and xenophobia, do it elsewhere.

    • If you are a EDL supporter, a mindless neo-Nazi, an Aryan Nation creep, a White Power freak, a BNPer or an apologist for David Duke’s vile views then best go somewhere else, I don’t publish such filth.

    • If you feel that the English Defence League have a point then best leave now, I don’t like excusers or apologists for neo-fascists.

    • Alternatively, if you think Mossad/Israelis/Zionists/Jews, etc did 9/11 please sling your hook.

    • Also, if you think that a Zionist/Jewish Lobby runs America or most of the world then please get lost, I am not interested in conspiracy theories.

    • On top of all that, if you feel it is acceptable for the disabled to be attacked, manhandled, thrown about or discriminated against, then honestly I am not interested in your views.

    • If you feel the need to post large reams of guff, spam or irrelevancies please go else where. I have a low tolerance for diatribes.

    • If you are an ingrained Genocide denier, or think they have a point, etc leave now and never darken my virtual doorstep again.

    • If you think dictatorships are just fine, as long as they go along in the direction that you approve of, or if you have any pleasant words to say about Augusto Pinochet, then feck off, I, most definitely, am not interested.

For American readers, this blog does not implement political censorship.

I welcome you expressing your opinions, but I just don’t like fascists or their buddies, and this blog is not covered by the First Amendment.

The blog owner reserves the right to determine what comments are fit and proper for his blog.

This is the older version of the comments policy, see the updates.

WordPress’s guide to comment etiquette should be read too 🙂

Apart from all of that enjoy!

  4. Er, no, not if you are not a fascist or one of their mates.

Blog owners choose their own moderation policy, what they feel comfortable with and what they find acceptable.

That is the accepted practice on the blogosphere.

All people do it, including you, Roger, when you delete comments etc.

You implement your own comments policy, so you can’t complain when others to the same.

  5. Would you be a little more clear who are these “fascists” or this “fascism” you talk about? Mussolini is long dead. The British Union of Fascists is long defunct. There is no political party calling itself “fascist”. So the term is not a description.

I suspect you mean “I won’t allow people holding certain political views or policies which I dislike intensely to express them here.”

Would you list for us the views or policies, without using terms like “this-ist/that-ist”, but describing what you object to?

  6. I can appreciate, Roger, that you may be unfamiliar with his political term.

I would recommend reading Fascism by Roger Griffin and Fascism in Britain : a history, 1918-1985 by Thurlow, Richard.

You might also want to read up on neo-fascism.

  7. A comments policy which we don’t care to unpack is probably not a very respectable policy, then.

  8. Unpack it, don’t unpack it.

My comments policy is fairly clear:

“So if you are hung up about the existence of Jews, Muslims, the Roma, immigrants, “foreigners”, the French, the Irish, etc and feel the need to express your petty hatreds and xenophobia, do it elsewhere.”

  9. It always amazes me when people seem to think that a blog is anything but an expression of its author’s thoughts, and that someone else “deserves” to be published on a person’s blog. A blog can have no comments, or unrestricted comments, or comments depending on the whim of the blogowner. Roger, if you want to object to what Mod says, say it on your own blog. And don’t pretend that you don’t know what fascism is.

  13. My comments policy is “Please do”!

Modernityblog edits, selectively deletes and denies free speech on his blog, doesn’t like anyone who disagrees with his own prejudices. He is what you might call a cyberspace book burner.

So I won’t be wasting any more of my time here. It is his blog. he can do what he wants. It just amazes me how people can make utter fools of themselves in public.
